Misty Moonlight Diner
If you're cruising down Dalton Avenue in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and your stomach starts to rumble, there's a retro gem you shouldn't miss: Misty Moonlight Diner. Since 1996, this classic American diner has been serving up hearty meals with a side of nostalgia. The moment you step inside, the black-and-white checkered floors and vintage decor transport you straight back to the '50s.
One of the standout features of Misty Moonlight Diner is its all-day breakfast menu. Whether you're an early bird or a brunch enthusiast, their French toast is a must-try—thick slices, golden-brown, and just the right amount of sweetness. If you're in the mood for something savory, the footlong hot dogs are a local favorite, especially when topped with chili and cheese. And for those who can't resist a classic, the chicken fingers are crispy, juicy, and served with a side of golden fries.
The atmosphere here is casual and welcoming, making it a great spot for families, groups, and even your four-legged friends—yes, dogs are allowed! The moderate noise level adds to the lively diner vibe without being overwhelming. It's the kind of place where kids can enjoy their meals, and adults can reminisce about the good old days.
Located at 565 Dalton Ave, Misty Moonlight Diner is open from 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays through Sundays, and closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Whether you're a local or just passing through the Berkshires, this diner offers a delightful mix of comfort food and nostalgic charm.

Misty Moonlight is one of our favorite places for Breakfast! Excellent food, service is fast and the ambiance is definitely something to bring back memories.
Very nice place. Simple yet tasty breakfast. I had the Western Omlette. It as tasty and I was able to get the toast replaced with fresh fruit.
Great diner with classic diner atmosphere. Service was quick and friendly, coffee was good and hot. I look forward to trying something from the breakfast menu next time. I ordered the Reuben sandwich with spicy fries and a side salad. I like a lot more corned beef in my Reubens but it tasted good. Seasoning on the spicy fries was different and tasty. Overall great experience.
very delicious. the food was great and the people were very nice aswell. nice atmosphere
Really good. Staple diner fair with a an artificial 1950s feel. What elevated it for me was a couple of simple things. The fries were hand cut, not frozen. The bread tweed for the twist was nice and thick so it kept some soft fluffiness inside while still being crisp outside. So essentially, good ingredients well prepared. Staff were good too
